Hollenbach is a small place …
not quite far away from district town Aichach. With a public service bus the people from Hollenbach were able to get almost everywhere. For example to the market in Augsburg. At this point, the history of the Betzmeir firm began ... about 65 years ago.


Anton Betzmeir senior established 1933 a small transportation firm in Hollenbach, republic Bavaria. With his truck, he drove mainly agricultural products and market-fruits for the Hollenbacher farmers to the market in Augsburg.
The war brought a hard caesura into the ascent of the young company. 

Anton Betzmeir returned home in the year 1948 after a three-year captivity. 

Luckily, his brother had stood in, and henceforth the business was called Betzmeir brothers. Immediately after end of war, not only goods were transported on the drawer-surface of the trucks. With provisional installed chairs, they were also used for person-transportation. 

Today, a modern bus-business has developed from it with two own traffic-lines and an individual travel agency. Parallel to it, the transportation-business grew.

Early, they strove for traffic in both directions: Augsburg–Ruhr and back, always loaded.
Finally in the middle of the eighties, Anton Betzmeir jr., meanwhile sole manager of the business, built for the transportation-business a second stand-leg: The transport of overlong freights became a particular field of the Betzmeir company. 
8 pulling units move 20 different trailers. Since 1995, Betzmeir uses DOLL-trailers, 1997 another one was bought.

Anton Betzmeir, that has come upon recommendation of an occupation-colleague on DOLL, comments contentedly on the two dreiachsigens, teleskopierbaren Plateauauflieger from the DOLL - Vario - program. With a Vario, the business drives Holzabbundmaschinen of the manufacturer through whole Europe to the recipients. These machines participate long and indivisible, teleskopierbaren Varios are driven on him/it on 18 meters under a tarpaulin with teleskopierbarem Spriegelgestell. 
The second, newer Vario serves the transportation of Baugeräten as well, as from profile-sheet metals, steel-bearers, Baustahl and roof-binders. 
The customers has her/its/their seat in the region and participates active throughout Europe.

Betzmeir leads book across the driving-performances of his/its Auflieger precisely:
The older Vario has it in two-and a half years on 187.000 km brought, that newer in a half year on 25.000km.
Remarkable run-performances for Auflieger, that the tractors divide with further Semitrailern. 
With the transportation of Baugeräten above all to building sites in densely populated areas, one already needs the steered axes if the Auflieger doesn't participate teleskopiert. Exactly the right for the two DOLL - Auflieger. How the " Langmachen " of the Vario goes on easily, one of the Betzmeir demonstrated - drivers on the snow-covered business-yard: Pulled apart the 6x4-Zugmaschine the Aufliegers without each Traktionsprobleme and just as simply pushed him/it again together. Also the precisely working steering could become demonstrate: Backwards, another driver pushed the beplanten Vario around the foyer-corner, with which the Auflieger had moved out on full length.
Betzmeir favors quality and strength: The DOLL-Aufliegers become alternatively on a 500er Scania, on a Volvo FH 16 or on Actros - tractors with 570 HPS saddled.
He/it praises the cooperation in the remainder with Franz Jäckle, that DOLL - area-representatives for Bavaria and Austria: " He is  punctual ".
